User Manual Guide

The contents of this manual generally follow the order in which features and functions appear in the menu and its tabs. However, when using GEM you may have a specific goal such as launching an emergency warning quickly, planning alerts, importing contacts etc. This brief guide will direct you to important sections to achieve these goals so that you can navigate this manual more quickly.

If you do not understand a term used in this manual click on GLOSSARY, found on the top left of the screen next to CONTENTS. There you will find a list of terms; click on these terms to find their definitions.

To use Quick Launches, you will need to read:

• Quick Launch Keywords

  To launch a normal alert:

• Add a New Alert
• Output Channels (up to Sorted Email Sending subheading)
• Targets (Up to Preparing State subheading)
• Launching a Single Alert

To plan alerts ahead of time:

• Planned: Scheduling an Alert (up to Viewing Planned Alerts subheading)
• Templates
• Keywords (For quick launch creation)

Draw detailed areas on the map for later use:

• Areas Page
• Add a New Area

To import contacts in bulk, go to:
